Winter Training

Dear All

Many thanks to all of you that responded to the Doodle poll, we have counted up the responses and concluded the following:

There was quite an even split amongst the nippers for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The Juniors overwhelmingly responded with wanting to keep their training on a Tuesday. This means that the training times will remain as they are, at the moment for both groups.

We are in constant communication with the pools and if any additional pool time becomes available we will inform you of this.

We appreciate that this is disappointing for some people, but it is very difficult to accommodate everyone.

If you find you cannot make the training time for your age group, due to ther activities/commitments, you're welcome to come to the later/earlier session.

We are still exploring other options with regard to winter training, which may involve :

Therefore, training will start this Wednesday as above, and we will update you with any potential changes to the training schedule.

Additionally there is the last Nipper Carnival of the Year at Ogmore (pen-y-bonts carnival) on the 17th

Welsh Open Water Championshps Barry 16/17 July

Dear All

Nipper Championships are next weekend!!!!

It will be an early start!!!!!!!!

Competition starts at 8.30am and you will need to be on the beach at 7.30-7.45!!!!!

Please find attached the order of events for the event and competitor information.

Each age group will be allocated a parent to supervise the boys and another to supervise the girls - to ensure that you attend for marshalling at the correct arena and enjoy the weekend.

The weather looks promising, you have a great team and should really enjoy yourselves. You also have 7 new Hurricane Nipper Boards to enjoy and race with and we can try these out on Wednesday.

Sharon and Mike will be looking after you as team managers, we will also need to provide helpers on the day who we will identify before next weekend as they will have to register with the referees on both mornings.

We will be organising some of the relays before the event and others will be selected at the competition.

If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact us or ask us on Wednesday evening.

Come on Mumbles!!!!
